ENUGU– The Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary election Appeal Committee for the just concluded Enugu governorship and state assembly primary elections, Hajia Mariam Saliu Mamuh, says the election held on Thursday, May 26th, was peaceful, free and fair.
Mamuh, who stated this on Friday while briefing newsmen at the APC zonal Headquarters in Enugu on the activities of the Committee said members of the committee came to the state for the national assignment, stressing that they were yet to receive petition concerning the governorship primaries.
Mamuh who arrived in Enugu with her team congratulated the party’s guber flag bearer, Chief Uche Nnaji for his victory.
She equally applauded APC for finding her worthy to serve as chairman of Enugu state appeal committee in the just concluded governorship and state assembly primary elections.
Mamuh urged the party members to rally round the governorship candidate to ensure that APC got all round victory in next year’s general elections.
She said that the committee had gone round Enugu, met with the State Working Committee (SWC) and discovered that the election was rancor free.
While commending the efforts of the party in the state, she advised the members that the only way to win general election was to come together as a team to achieve their desired goal.
