Soludo hands over 30 operational vehicles to Anambra police

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has handed over 30 additional operational vehicles to the Nigeria Police, Anambra State Command, as part of efforts to strengthen security operations across the state.

The handover, which took place at the Government House, Awka, brings to 200 the total number of vehicles provided by the Soludo administration to various security agencies in Anambra State.

Speaking at the ceremony, Soludo said the gesture reflects his administration’s sustained commitment to public safety, improved rapid response, and the maintenance of peace and order across the state.

He explained that strengthening the operational capacity of security agencies is central to his government’s broader strategy to protect lives and property, create a safe environment for businesses, and support economic growth and social development.

The governor stressed the need to adequately equip security personnel to enable effective patrols, swift emergency response, and proactive management of security challenges.

He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue supporting security agencies in recognition of their critical role in sustaining peace and stability.

The additional vehicles, he noted, form part of ongoing initiatives by the state government to modernise Anambra’s security architecture through sustained investment and collaboration with security agencies.

Mr Soludo expressed confidence that with continued partnership between government and security stakeholders, Anambra State would sustain its reputation as one of the most peaceful and secure states in the country.
