Nigeria’s media community is mourning the sudden passing of veteran journalist Thankgod Ofoelue, who died at the age of 48.

The Ofoelue family of Arochukwu, Abia State, announced his death in a statement, describing the loss as devastating.

Ofoelue was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jungle Journalist Media Limited, and previously worked with TheSun Newspaper, where he built a reputation for incisive reporting and editorial depth.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mazi Obozuluike Ofoelue paid tribute to his late brother, describing him as a man of courage, vision, and dedication.

“We are devastated by the loss of my younger brother, a man of courage, vision, and dedication. His absence leaves a painful void in our hearts and in the media community he so passionately served.”

Colleagues and associates have continued to honour Ofoelue’s legacy, remembering him as a journalist defined by integrity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to truth.
