An American video blogger, Sabbatical has described the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos as the perfect fit for the word, corruption. Sabbatical, who travels the world and shares his experience with his audience revealed that you would be asked for payment at any point in time at the airport.
Sabbatical’s experience is coming weeks after another American, Alina Oliver accused staff of the same airport of extortion.
In a video on his YouTube page, Sabbatical said, “You know I have been around the world and I have never seen anything like right here. And by that I mean, it’s extremely corrupt. Picture corruption, Okay? The Nigerian airport, the Lagos airport is that very definition of corruption that would pop up in a dictionary. Literally everywhere, literally everything here. Coming in, you don’t want to wait in line for your covid test? Pay this guy. You don’t want to have your bags checked? Pay this guy… This is very draining and a very stressful day. My friends, Nigeria is not for the fainthearted.”
