The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has commended Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, for his administration’s support to security agencies, saying it has strengthened operations and improved safety across the state.

Aneke spoke on Thursday during a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House, Enugu, as part of his working tour following his appointment by President Bola Tinubu.

He said the sustained cooperation between the Enugu State Government and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), alongside other security agencies, had enhanced operational effectiveness and contributed to the relative peace and stability in the state.

According to him, the visit was also aimed at deepening collaboration to ensure Enugu remains secure and attractive for business and investment.

The CAS praised the pace of development under the Mbah administration, noting that the visible transformation of the state was evident even before landing.

He described the governor’s leadership as transformative and forward-looking, adding that Enugu had recorded significant changes compared to his previous visits.

Responding, Governor Mbah described Aneke as a distinguished son of Enugu State who had served the nation with honour and professionalism.

He praised the Air Force chief’s commitment to national security, recalling his prompt interventions in support of security efforts in the state.

The governor acknowledged the strong partnership between the state and Air Force personnel deployed in Enugu, noting that joint operations had led to the dismantling of criminal hideouts and the restoration of safety in previously threatened areas.
