Constable Recruitment: Enugu Police Announce Screening Schedule

The Nigeria Police Force has designated the Senior Police Officers’ Mess on Agbani Road in Enugu as the venue for the physical and credentials screening of applicants from Enugu State participating in the ongoing nationwide recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Police Command, Daniel Ndukwe, the Command disclosed that the screening exercise will commence on March 9 and run through April 18, 2026, beginning daily at 7:30 a.m.

According to the Command, applicants who successfully completed the online application process are required to visit the official recruitment portal — npfapplication.psc.gov.ng — to verify their application status and print the relevant documents ahead of the screening.

The required documents include the Invitation Slip, Application Submission Slip, and Credentials and Physical Screening Forms, all of which must be presented at the screening venue on the date and time indicated on each applicant’s invitation slip.

Candidates are also expected to present the following original documents:

• National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission.
• O’Level certificate(s), including SSCE or GCE
• Birth certificate or Declaration of Age
• Local Government or State of Origin certificate
• Trade Test certificate for specialist applicants
• A duly completed Guarantor’s Form, accompanied by referees’ passport photographs and photocopies of their valid identification

The Command advised applicants to arrange both the original and photocopies of their credentials in two separate white files, each affixed with recent passport photographs.

In addition, candidates are required to appear for the screening dressed in plain white polo shirts or T-shirts, white shorts, white stockings, and canvas shoes, in accordance with the stipulated guidelines for the exercise.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, urged applicants to strictly comply with all directives governing the screening process. He cautioned prospective candidates against falling victim to fraudsters or intermediaries claiming to influence the recruitment process.

He reiterated that the recruitment exercise conducted by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force is entirely free of charge and does not require any form of payment.

CP Giwa further called on officers and members of the screening team to uphold the principles of integrity, transparency, fairness, and accountability, stressing that any conduct capable of undermining the credibility of the recruitment process would not be tolerated.
