Court jails uber driver three months for internet fraud

The high court of oyo state in ibadan on monday sentenced Micheal Lawal an uber driver to three months.

According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mr Lawal was convicted and sentenced by the court after he pleaded guilty ti the offense of obtaining money by false pretense.

 

He has also be ordered to restitue $50 to his victim through the EFCC and forfeit items recovered from him to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

 

The convicted is said to have this crime pretending to be a white female by the name Cyndy Tyler from the united states.
