Easter: Rev Paul Emeka Preaches Peace And Reconciliation

The General Supritendent, Assemblies of God, Nigeria, the Reverend Paul Emeka, has advised Christians to be committed to the tenets of their faith by applying the teachings of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.

This is to help them to navigate the challenges of life, ensure a better society and earn eternal life.

The Reverend Emeka, who made this known in his Easter message, explained that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was victory over evil and appealed to Christians to use Easter for peace and reconciliation.

“My message is that we should not be paying lip service to Christian commitment.

“And our voices are going higher, telling people: let’s use this period of Easter to talk to one another that we should go back to Christ, the only man that has the solution to the problems we have,” he admonished.

The Reverend Paul Emeka also used the opportunity to encourage Christians and other Nigerians to be part of the electioneering for the 2023 polls to elect credible persons who would reposition the fragile security and socio-economic situation of the country.

“Those who elect, let’s not say what have we achieved, so far so we will not come out?

“No, we must come out to vote because if we don’t, then the bad ones will take advantage of that to do whatever they like.

“But at the same time, those people who are coming out to contest be very careful not to take our loyalty for granted.

“People are actually suffering, people cannot sleep anymore because of insecurity and we are looking for people who can deliver,” he commented.
