The announcement came during the Command’s strategic monthly security conference at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu, convened by Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Mamman Bitrus Giwa.

Senior officers including Deputy and Assistant Commissioners, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and heads of tactical units attended the meeting to review the past month’s operations and align daily policing activities with the IGP’s nationwide directives.

Addressing the gathering, Mr.Giwa emphasized the IGP’s commitment to community-oriented policing, protection of citizens’ rights, and professional accountability.

He stressed that officers would be recognised for excellence and sanctioned for misconduct, marking a new era of transparency and strict enforcement of discipline within the force.

The Commissioner urged supervisory officers to cascade these directives to all ranks, ensuring that policing reflects integrity, efficiency, and respect for human dignity.

He noted that the advent of new national leadership calls for elevated standards of performance and ethical conduct at every level of the Command.
