Published

on

The European Union has written a letter to the World Trade Organization to complain about the milk and dairy restriction policy of Nigeria.

CBN in July 2019 included milk and dairy products on the its list of items not eligible for foreign exchange. This led to restriction in the importation of milk into Nigeria.

Director -General WTO, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala disclosed the complain of EU on her visit to Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday in Abuja.

She told CBN that the WTO will look into the complaint presented by EU as she encourage Nigeria to take advantage of the global trade opportunities of being a member of WTO.
