Political stakeholders, community leaders, and youths of Ezimo Ward have thrown their weight behind Aka Eze Aka, Executive Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, endorsing him for a second term in office.

The backing comes amid widespread recognition of his inclusive leadership and visible development initiatives across the council.

The endorsement coincided with the inauguration of a solar-powered water borehole at Onuiyi Amallaogbo/Amogu Ezimo, one of six similar facilities inaugurated across the council area by Aka Eze Aka’s administration. Powered by a 2,100-watt solar system, the project marks the first sustainable water infrastructure of its kind in the community, providing residents with reliable access to clean water.

The people of Ezimo queue to welcome the Council Chairman, Aka Eze Aka, during the inauguration of a solar-powered water borehole at Onuiyi Amallaogbo/Amogu Ezimo.

Speaking on behalf of the community, former caretaker chairman of Udenu Local Government, Onyekachi Ugwu, praised the council boss for his transformative leadership

He highlighted the administration’s record of “tangible delivery,” including the asphalting of critical roads in Obollo Afor and Obollo Eke, the launch of hands-on ICT training programs for youths, and the equipping of local health centers.

“This is leadership that listens, responds, and acts on the real needs of the people,” Ugwu said. “The people of Ezimo are calling for continuity because they see results.”

The traditional ruler of the community, HRH John Eze, Igwe Ezigbo II of Ezimo, alongside Ward Councillor Rt. Hon. Charly Ezugwu, described the solar-powered borehole as a “milestone in community development” and commended the administration for its foresight in addressing local challenges.
