JUST IN: Another Building Collapses In Lagos, Many Trapped (Photos)

Five victims have been rescued from the collapsed building in Lagos state.

A storey building has collapsed in Lagos with five persons so far rescued and many others trapped under the rubble.

According to Tribune Online, the building collapsed at Sunny Filled, Flour Mills, Estate, Magbon, Badagry on Wednesday.

Mrs Margaret Adeseye, Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Badagry fire station confirmed that five persons have been rescued so far from under-construction building while concerted efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining trapped victims.

The victims, who are mainly construction workers, were however rescued with varying degrees of injury but in stable condition and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

She, however, added that four male adults have been recovered (unconscious) thus far.

Adeseye noted that the Nigerian Police, Morogbo Division, and members of the community were complimenting the efforts of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in rescue operations.

This comes barely a week after 21-storey building collapsed in Ikoyi killing over 40 persons.
