Markets in Onitsha, Nnewi shutdown as youths do this over Kanu

Commercial activities were paralyzed this morning in the commercial city of Onitsha and industrial town of Nnewi in Anambra state as bonfires we’re used to frustrate vehicular movement in the two cities by suspected members of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB.

 

Their actions led to traders and customers staying indoors.

 

It is believed that their action is in ocnnexyion with the planned appearance of the IPOb leader, Maxi Nnamdi Kanu in an Abuja court.

 

However marketplaaces are open in Enugu state and business continue unabated

 

In Awka many people wanted to travel to Onitsha were stranded as commercial vehicles had stopped taking pa ssengers
