Nnamdi Kanu: Negotiations ongoing for the release of IPOB Leader

Ahead of Nnamdi Kanu’s court hearing on Friday, a former Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation in the first republic, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi has revealed that there is an ongoing negotiation between some prominent Igbo persons and the Federal Government of Nigeria for the release of the detained leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“We the Igbo elders have met with President Muhammadu Buhari shortly after Kanu’s arraignment in court and told him to release him for us to go home and discuss with Kanu about the next Igbo agenda and Buhari gave us audience and ever since then, negotiations between us and the federal government have been on to free Kanu,” Vanguard, on Thursday, quotes Chief Amaechi as saying.
