Palm Sunday: Christians told to improve their prayer life to withstand temptations

A Catholic Priest, Monsignor Chima Nwamadi, wants Christians to improve their prayer life to withstand temptations and challenges of life.

Monsignor Nwamadi gave the admonition in a holy mass at Virgo Potens Parish, Achara Layout, Enugu to mark the Palm Sunday.

Monsignor Nwamadi notes that the devil often operates freely and captures one who is spiritually low and unguarded.

The priest also advised people against the love of money, noting that many people had done what they would not have ordinarily done just because they were offered money.

He also cautioned people not to betray their friends and people who trusted them as Judas did to Jesus.

Monsignor Nwamadi called on Christians to use the period of the Holy Week to improve their relationship with God and man by turning away from their evil ways to doing good and loving their neighbours.

Our correspondent reports that the congregation observed procession where they sang to God with their palm fronds.
