Palm Sunday: Senator Uche Ekwunife reminds Christians the importance of this day as she urges all to do this (Read Details)

As Christians mark their Palm Sunday today, senator Representing Anambra Central Senatorial district, Iyom Uche Ekwunife in a post shared on her Official Facebook page, celebrates with all Christians as they mark their Palm Sunday.

According to the Amazon senator, who attended the celebration in her church in Abuja, states that the palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy week and the triumphant Entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem.

  “The annual celebration which marks the beginning of the holy week, a week that captures the series of steps Jesus took to save us from sin, offers us the opportunity to evaluate our relationship with Christ and see the need to give him unrestricted access into our hearts” she said. 

She also concluded by urging all Christians to Live a Christ-Like Lives.

  “As we begin the commemoration of this important feast that leads to Easter, one of the most significant celebrations in Christendom, I enjoin us to imbibe the teachings of christ who came, lived and died for our sake. May we be guided by the lessons we learned through this lenten period and strive to be a gift to the society, as christ was to mankind” She Concluded.

It’s Holy Week!

Today, we celebrate Palm Sunday – a significant celebration in Christendom. A day we commemorate Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

In line with the celebration, I joined John Cardinal Olorunfemi Onaiyekan, Fr. Peter Atsewe and other Catholic faithful at Church of Assumption Catholic Church Asokoro to Celebrate this very important event.

The annual celebration which marks the beginning of the holy week – a week that captures the series of steps Jesus took to save us from sin, offers us the opportunity to evaluate our relationship with Christ and see the need to give him unrestricted access into our hearts.
