The physical and credentials screening of successful applicants from Enugu State in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 constables into the Nigeria Police Force entered its second day on Tuesday, with the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Bitrus Giwa, visiting the screening centre to assess the progress of the exercise.

During the visit, Giwa commended members of the screening team comprising officers of the Nigeria Police Force and representatives of the Police Service Commission, Federal Character Commission, and other relevant agencies for their professionalism and commitment to a transparent process.

He urged the officials to remain diligent and ensure that only qualified and deserving candidates emerge from the exercise.

The police commissioner also cautioned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters who might claim to influence the recruitment process.

He stressed that the exercise is entirely free and advised candidates to maintain order and strictly comply with the guidelines issued for the screening.

According to the command, more than 100 applicants have been screened since the exercise began on Monday, March 9, 2026.

The screening is part of the ongoing nationwide recruitment drive by the Nigeria Police Force aimed at strengthening manpower across the country.
