Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani Should Emulate Sen. Utazi

Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani

Senator Chukwuka Utazi has demonstrated characteristics of wisdom, statesmanship and sportsmanship unseen in Enugu politics when he announced that he will not contest the Enugu North Senatorial election after serving two terms in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

His announcement elicited jubilation among party faithful at the meeting of Enugu North Senatorial District stakeholders held on Sunday 24th April, 2022.

This announcement has paved the way for the Governor of Enugu State, H.E. Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to sail through the PDP nomination process and likely general election as the next senator of the district in the 10th Senate.

Charles Baudelaire stated that everything that is beautiful and noble is the product of reason and calculation.

This is why some people and politicians are asking that Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani should rethink his position in contesting for the Enugu East Senatorial district seat for the third time.

Having served as a Governor of Enugu State for 8 years, and another 8 years as senator of the Enugu East Senatorial district, Senator Nnamani should respect the Governor, himself and good people of Enugu East Senatorial District and bow out honorably to save his remaining statesman image that Gov. Ugwuanyi redeemed.

Trying to impose himself on the Governor is very bad, arrogant and exaggerated self importance.

What is en vogue today is dividends of democracy attracted to your district as a member of the National Assembly. Till date, Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani’s score card in the National Assembly is less than abysmal after 2 terms as a Senator.

Solomon affirms that a person who sincerely seeks truth, the “wise” man cooperates with correction and will become even wiser. Furthermore, those who seek to be godly, or righteous will respond positively to your knowledge.

They will improve their own wisdom by considering yours. This is in direct contrast to the arrogance of those who hate being corrected, who respond to wisdom with venom and evil (Proverbs 9:7-8).

Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani should read the body language of the people of Enugu State and drop his “THIRD TERM” Senatorial ambition.

His being the 1st Enugu political aspirant to pick up Senatorial expression of interest and nomination forms without the express approval of the Governor of Enugu State is very insulting and rebellious which had characterized his political history.

Moreover, all those who worked for his last election benefitted nothing to write home about as a result of their sacrifices.

Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani should be wise enough to take a bow now rather than burn his recently redeemed image.
