Senator Mrs Uche Ekwunife reiterates commitment to community development, commissions Uruofolo legacy Hall




The leading aspirant for the November 6 Anambra governorship election under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) has reiterated commitment to community development, reassuring that she will not renege in her community developmental efforts in the state.

Ekwunife made this known on Sunday, May 9, 2021, while commissioning Uruofolo legacy hall Nri, Anaocha LGA. Uruofolo village is one of the villages that make up the ancient kingdom of Nri.

Ekwunife thanked the leadership of the village, the hall building committee led by Oba Obulugbulu Dr. A.C. Obi-Okoye and all the donors who immensely contributed to the project, adding that building a community hall is not an easy venture. She noted that communities blossom and achieve development once there is the right leadership at the helm of affairs. The Senator equally commended the new leadership of the youths of the community as well as the PGs[Both past and present].

Talking on, the grassroots friendly Senator stated that her representation will continue to open up the hinterlands by the attraction of road projects which will link communities.

The Igbo-Ukwu born Senator further noted that she has attracted unprecedented developmental projects across the zone while discharging her primary responsibilities as a lawmaker, stressing that she is poised to entrench transformational governance in the state if elected as the next governor.

Welcoming the Senator, Chief (Comr) Arthur Mbuba who is the Chairman, Uruofolo Development Union appreciated Ekwunife for honouring their invitation. He heaped praise on the Senator for what he described as a great representation, saying that Ekwunife is a mother who does not segregate.

Chief Mbuba assured Ekwunife of the community’s continuous support especially in her guber aspiration. He noted that the Senator’s antecedents place her head and shoulders above other aspirants, praying for success on behalf of Ekwunife.

Meanwhile, Ekwunife on behalf of her husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife and her campaign organization congratulated the entire Uruofolo village on the official opening and commissioning of the legacy hall.
