Soludo Inaugurates Protocol Lounge At Chinụa Achebe International Airport

Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has inaugurated the newly built Protocol Lounge at the Chinụa Achebe International Airport, Umueri, in what is being described as a significant boost to the state’s aviation infrastructure and hospitality offerings.

The facility, designed for dignitaries, government officials, business travellers, and other VIPs, is equipped with modern furnishings, enhanced security, and dedicated comfort amenities aimed at improving the passenger experience.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Soludo said the lounge aligns with his administration’s commitment to upgrading public facilities and projecting Anambra as a progressive and welcoming destination.

He noted that the airport and its complementary infrastructure remain critical to driving economic growth, tourism, and investment across the state.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Transportation, Patricia Igwebuike, thanked the governor for prioritising infrastructure development, noting that the new lounge will boost passenger traffic and enhance the airport’s competitiveness within the region.

The commissioning of the Protocol Lounge comes as the Chinụa Achebe International Airport continues to expand its operations, underscoring the state government’s push for modernization and improved service delivery.
