Tension As Nigerian Aircraft Got Missing Few Minutes After Taking Off

There has been tension in the state amidst fear that the fighting jet might have been captured by the insurgents in the North East.

This was confirmed in a release by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.

The release states that the details about the whereabouts of the jet were still sketchy.

“A NAF Alpha-Jet has lost contact with radar in Borno State, while on interdiction mission in support of ground troops.

“Details of the whereabouts of the aircraft or likely cause of contact loss are still sketchy but will be relayed to the general public as soon as they become clear. Meanwhile, search and rescue efforts are ongoing”, he added

Sanwo-Olu honours cop assaulted by traffic violator

Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday honored a policemen Asp Sunday Erhabor attached to the Rapid response squad of the state police command.

The cop was assaulted by one victor Ebhomenyen who drove against traffic in Oniru in the Victoria Island area of the State.

See what144 Nigerian policemen were sent to Somalia to do

A total of 144 police officers from Nigeria have arrived in Somalia to boost Stabilization efforts in the country according to the African union mission.

AMISON police operations coordinator  Daniel Ali Gwambal said they are there to to support the Somalis and at the same time to mentor the Somali police force.
