VeryDarkMan Dismisses Claims of Religious Unrest Plot

Published

on

Social media commentator, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has publicly distanced himself from allegations circulating in
a viral video claiming he sponsored a religious narrative aimed at inciting
tension between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria.

In the video, a young man was seen being questioned and assaulted after reportedly entering a mosque to pray.

Reacting to the allegations, VDM said: “In this video, it is said that the young man sitting on the ground walked into a mosque to pray and due to his movement in the mosque they suspected him for something because he didn’t fit in and so they took him outside the mosque for questioning and because he wasn’t speaking they decided to beat him up.

“While they were beating him, he confessed that he is a Christian that is being sponsored by Deeper Life Bible Church, the Christian Association of Nigeria and lastly myself, (Verydarkman).

“He said that he and others are heavily sponsored by Verydarkman to create unrest and push narrative and agenda that Christians are being kpai by Muslims.

“I will like to clarify that these allegations are NOT true. I have never met the young man in my life, I have never sponsored a religious propaganda or narrative in my life.

“I will never do anything that will cause mayhem or anything that will lead to loss of lives.

“Lastly, I am giving one million Naira to anyone that can give me a useful information about the man in the video.”

Actress Basira Beere Recounts Domestic Abuse, Loss of Four Pregnancies

Published

on

Omoshalewa Yusuf, the Nollywood actress better known
as Basira Beere, has opened up on her failed marriage, revealing she was a victim of domestic violence.

In a recent episode of the Talk To B podcast, the actress said she initially ignored warnings from friends who questioned her decision to marry a man they considered “of a lower calibre”.

Basira said she sponsored about 70 per cent of their wedding expenses because she believed she was supporting her husband. However, problems
in the marriage started barely days after the ceremony.

The film star recounted how her husband became violent after
seeing a congratulatory message from a man she addressed as “dear”.

Basira also blamed her prolonged stay in the marriage on the advice she constantly received from her parents, who repeatedly urged her to
endure.

“When I wanted to get married to him, my friends complained that I was marrying someone of a lower calibre than me. I was like, he was not,
that I just received the grace of God, and I also came from nothing. When we
wanted to do our wedding, I paid for about 70% of the ceremony. I thought I was supporting my man,” she said.

“His problem started about 2-3 days after the wedding. Days after the wedding, a guy texted me to congratulate me on the wedding, and I called him dear, and that was when the problem started. It was so tough, he beat me so much that even our landlord tried to intervene.

“My parents hated it when you complained about your marriage
to them. If I explain to them what happened, they would say that I should be patient and endure. Only my siblings who stayed with me at the time could
attest to what I went through. If I made a mistake sometimes, he would not
think about it twice before beating me, before he realised what he had done.”

Basira said her husband would beat her over minor disagreements, including arguments about music preferences between Fuji singers Pasuma and Saheed Osupa. She said during one such incident, he broke her phone
and beat her severely. Within three hours, she began bleeding and suffered a
miscarriage.

She disclosed that she lost about four pregnancies due to the beatings and that the final miscarriage convinced her to leave the marriage, as she began to fear for her life.

The actress admitted that she had started considering retaliating physically if the abuse continued. She said she realised the relationship could end tragically if she stayed longer, noting that couples in
such situations often end up killing each other.

“At a point, I was like, if this continues, we will kill ourselves someday. I lost about three or four pregnancies due to his beating me. We have fought because of a Pasuma track before, because he likes listening to him. I was listening to an Osupa mixtape, and he asked me to change it to
Pasuma. I was like this song would soon be over, and I would change it,” she
added.

“He angrily broke my phone, and when I challenged him, he
beat daylight out of me. Within three hours, my tummy started aching, and then
I saw blood; it was then that I concluded that I could no longer stay. If I say
I am no longer interested in a relationship, you would notice through my
attitude.

“I would not complain about anything you do anymore, I would
just ignore. I was even tired of complaining to my parents because they kept
saying I should endure without doing anything about it. He would belittle me,
talk down on my career and at a point, I left there because I was scared for my
life.

“We did not have any children together, and I thank God that
I left because if I had waited a bit longer, something else would have
happened. Because I was ready to hit him back if he tried it again, and that is
why couples with domestic violence issues end up killing themselves. The last
fight we had, I was covered in blood; in fact, Gistlover posted about it. I do
not know who leaked it to them.”

Frank Edoho Accused of Affairs and Being a Deadbeat Father by Estranged Wife

Published

on

Veteran Nigerian broadcaster Frank Edoho has come under intense public scrutiny after his estranged second wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, publicly accused him of infidelity, emotional abuse, financial abandonment, and manipulation in a series of explosive social media posts.

The development comes days after online reports and blog speculation alleged that Onyenucheya had cheated on Edoho with Nigerian singer Chike — claims that fueled conversations across social media earlier this week.

Breaking her silence, Onyenucheya appeared to directly respond to the growing narrative surrounding her failed marriage, sharing a lengthy statement titled “Surviving Frank Edoho.”

In the emotional posts, she accused the television personality of being a “serial cheat” and a “deadbeat father,” alleging that he repeatedly abandoned his family responsibilities while engaging in affairs with multiple women throughout their marriage.

She also alleged that Edoho pressured her to terminate her pregnancy with their second child because he was allegedly involved in several relationships at the time and “was not ready to be a father.”

Onyenucheya further claimed she financed the family’s lifestyle, stating that she single-handedly handled household expenses, luxury trips, hotels, and other financial obligations while attempting to protect Edoho’s public image.

The entrepreneur additionally accused him of disappearing for weeks at a time and spending extended periods with other women, claiming she possesses evidence to support her allegations.

In the posts, she mentioned names including actress Mbong Amata, reality TV personality Tega Dominic, and media personality Amaka Okeke while detailing some of the alleged affairs and incidents she claimed happened during the marriage.

Addressing rumors surrounding her own personal life, Onyenucheya maintained that she has every right to move on following the breakdown of the marriage.

“As an adult woman, I am free to be friends with and date whomever I please,” she stated, while revealing that she had already filed for divorce.

Frank Edoho and Sandra Onyenucheya got married in 2014 and share children together. Before his marriage to Sandra, Edoho was previously married to Katherine Obiang. That union ended in 2011 amid allegations and counter-allegations surrounding infidelity and marital differences.

As of the time of this report, Frank Edoho has yet to publicly respond to Sandra Onyenucheya’s latest claims.

Nigerian-American To Sue VeryDarkMan For N1bn

Published

on

A Nigerian-American healthcare specialist, Kelvin Onyiaeze, has threatened to file a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against popular social media influencer Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan

Onyiaeze made the announcement during a press briefing in Abuja on Saturday, April 18, 2026, following allegations by VeryDarkMan accusing him of involvement in land-grabbing activities.

Describing the claims as “false, malicious, and baseless,” Onyiaeze said the viral video was a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation and incite public hostility against him.

The North American-Africa Coalition (NACA) also defended Onyiaeze at the briefing, describing him as a law-abiding U.S. citizen and a distinguished healthcare professional with an unblemished record.

“The allegations contained in the viral video are a total falsehood and a coordinated attempt at character assassination,” the coalition stated.

NACA warned that the use of social media to malign professionals, especially those in the diaspora, poses serious risks and could escalate beyond Nigeria.

The group expressed concern over VeryDarkMan tagging the U.S. State Department in the matter, saying it risks misleading diplomatic channels.

Citing the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015, both Onyiaeze and NACA accused the influencer of cyberstalking, bullying, and spreading harmful content intended to cause reputational damage.

Onyiaeze urged the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Office of the Attorney General to investigate the matter and take decisive action.

He added that his legal team, led by Barrister Abubakar Orumah, has been instructed to commence legal proceedings, including filing a suit for libel and defamation against VeryDarkMan.

Cute Abiola, the Nigerian skit maker, has sparked criticism following the release of a documentary detailing his wife’s labour and delivery process.

Celebrity Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, also known as Blord, has reportedly been relocated from a criminal cell over health concerns.

This comes two weeks after the Federal High Court in Abuja remanded Blord in Kuje prison for 26 days.

It had been reported that Blord was arraigned on multiple counts, including impersonating VeryDarkMan and forgery.

However, giving an update on the issue in a post on his Instagram story, VeryDarkMan disclosed that Blord has been sick since April 6, 2026.

He further shared a WhatsApp message alleging that Blord has been transferred from “Egypt 2” to segregation. “Egypt 2 na the Ajegunle part of Kuje prison where armed robbers and other criminals stay. They had to move him because he was sick.”

While mocking Sowore for not being able to secure Blord’s release, VeryDarkMan announced his willingness to “temper mercy.”

Popular human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, had condemned the manner and speed at which Blord was remanded and accused VeryDarkMan and his lawyer of oppression.
