US President Donald Trump says the United States has a “virtually unlimited” supply of munitions capable of sustaining military operations indefinitely as the conflict with Iran continues, asserting that Washington’s stockpiles are strong enough to fight wars “forever.”
In a post on his Truth Social platform late Monday night, Trump wrote: “The United States Munitions Stockpiles have, at the medium and upper medium grade, never been higher or better as was stated to me today, we have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons.”
He added: “Wars can be fought, ‘forever,’ and very successfully, using just these supplies (which are better than other countries’ finest arms!).”
The statement comes shortly after the US and Israel initiated Operation Epic Fury, a series of joint airstrikes on Iranian targets starting March 1, 2026.
The operation follows weeks of escalating rhetoric from Trump, who has repeatedly called for regime change in Tehran and the elimination of Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump previously indicated the campaign could extend beyond four to five weeks.Iran has retaliated with missile strikes targeting Israel and US military facilities in the region, including a reported attack on a base in Qatar, further widening the conflict and raising concerns about a broader regional war.
Trump’s boast appears aimed at countering reports of potential strains on US munitions reserves, which have been depleted by ongoing support for allies, defense against attacks in the Red Sea, and other global commitments.
Some analysts and defense reports have highlighted limitations in high-end stockpiles, though Trump emphasized that medium- and upper-medium-grade munitions remain exceptionally strong.
The president also asserted that the US military is “stocked, and ready to WIN, BIG!!!” amid the operation, which has reportedly destroyed significant Iranian military infrastructure, including command centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
No immediate response from Iranian officials was detailed in major reports, though Tehran has vowed continued retaliation.
The conflict has already prompted heightened security measures globally and market reactions, including gains in certain defense and drone-related stocks.
Trump’s comments have drawn mixed reactions, with supporters praising the display of strength and critics questioning the sustainability of prolonged engagement or the accuracy of claims about unlimited supplies.
Passengers and travelers in affected regions are advised to monitor airline updates, as airspace restrictions and security alerts continue to evolve.
